We love gift cards for dollar stores, superstores, gas stations, local grocery stores, etc. These allow us to assist survivors with other household needs when they transition out of the shelter program. Gift Cards are also wonderful gifts for families for holidays, birthdays, and other special events while in shelter. Gift cards of $10 equals ten items at a dollar store, which could be a basic mop, broom, dustpan, small trash can, cleaning products… a starter set for a survivor’s new apartment!
