"In-Kind" Donations

Our families have many practical needs in the course of their stay. Take a look at our Wish List for an idea of what kinds of things we are always grateful to receive.

Clothing and Consumables
We currently have a moratorium on accepting clothing donations, so please call us first at either 845-471-3038 or 518-789-6977 to make sure we are able to accept your donation.

Furniture and Large Appliances
We don't have the capacity to store large items, nor do we always have the ability to pick them up or transport them. This doesn't mean we never accept furniture and appliances; it just means we have to be careful about how and when.

In general, we are able to accept large items when: (1) a family is preparing to move out of one of the shelters and can use it immediately, and (2) the donor is willing to transport the furniture to its destination. Again, please call ahead.
