observing the third "TWO DAYS OF
GRACE" event on Friday &
Saturday, June 13th & 14th,
2008. Salons and businesses in
our area will be honoring
victims of domestic violence by
pledging a dollar amount for
each customer they service on
one or both days, as well as
collecting donations from
mid-May until the end of June.
(Here's how it works... if a
stylist pledges $1 per client
and has 10 clients that day, $10
will go to Grace Smith House. A
pledge of $10 per client would
mean a contribution of $100!) If
stylists/salons prefer not to
pledge per client, they can
contribute any dollar amount
they'd like. Your salon could
raise hundreds of dollars
depending on the number of
stylists involved and how much
your clients contribute.
In 2006 over 40 Hudson Valley
salons together raised over
$5,000!!!! Each business decided
what worked best for them. In
some cases an entire salon
participated, in others only one
stylist pledged. Some salons
contributed hundreds of dollars,
while others could only spare
$25. But all donations were
greatly appreciated and made the
event a huge success.
ALL funds raised during "TWO
DAYS OF GRACE" will be donated
to Grace Smith House. 100% of
your donations will stay in OUR
community.
