Adopt A Family

Tis the season of warmth and good cheer, of giving generously of ourselves and spending time with those we love. During the holiday season, Grace Smith House opens its doors to countless survivors of domestic violence and their families. We need your help to provide our shelter families with holiday joy. Consider adopting a shelter family for this holiday season.

Adopting a family is easy! Just send us an email at donations@gracesmithhouse.org, with the subject Adopt A Family 2018. Fill out this form to help us match you with the perfect family!

Gifts must be new items. We ask all gifts be delivered wrapped and tagged with the family member's names (if provided on the form), and arrive at our offices no later than December 14th, to ensure delivery to the appropriate family in time for the holidays. Please call well in advance to schedule an appointment for delivery. Should you adopt a family and then for whatever reason be unable to acquire gifts, please let us know immediately so we are able to find another generous heart to see to that family's needs.

Grace Smith House is a religiously and ethnically diverse community from all walks of life. Please consider donating toys and items that are inclusive and open to all members of our family. We are often lacking in items such as African American body and hair care products, nonwhite dolls, non-denominational gift wrapping, etc. We are very grateful for our donors' generosity and their consideration for the diverse backgrounds and beliefs of our residents.

Weekend delivery - Donations during weekdays are preferred. If you are unable to schedule an appointment during the week to delivery presents, we have set aside Saturday, December 15th to accept presents. You must schedule an appointment in advance to delivery on this date.
